If a booking was made but needs to be cancelled you are able to cancel it, rather than deleting it so it will show up on your records as such. Below are the ways in which you can cancel bookings

Actions menu

From the roster or agenda you can either click on a booking and select the actions menu in the bottom left, or you can simply right click on a booking to bring up the actions menu. You can then select cancel. You will be presented with the following menu:

You will need to select "Are you sure you want to cancel these bookings?" before you can save to reduce the risk of this happening accidentally. You can then elect to charge the client and/or pay the carer, if the carer is to be paid, you can opt to pay the mileage they would have been paid for the visit as well.

Finally, you can select the cancellation type and type in a cancellation reason if needed.

Cancelling multiple bookings

The actions menu can be used to cancel multiple bookings at the same time, use ctrl + click each booking you want to select (โŒ˜ + click for Mac users) and either right click or select the actions menu, before continuing as normal. You are able to select the billing and paying options for each individual booking.

Opening a booking

The other way to cancel a booking is to open the booking. In the top right corner, click on the โ‹ฎ icon and select cancel booking before continuing the same steps as above.

How does a cancelled booking appear?

A cancelled booking will always be visible in the client's agenda in red (default colour) to indicate that there is usually a booking there. The booking will also show on the roster in the same way unless you have disabled this in the roster settings.

Cancellation types

The list of cancellation types you can use is fully editable. You can access this via Bookings โžž Cancellation types. You are able to edit and remove any existing types with the exception of:

  • Service contract finished

  • Temporary suspension

Click on the + button to create a new cancellation type where you will need to name it and can optionally provide a description.

Suspensions

If you suspend a client, you have the option to either cancel or delete their bookings. For more information, see: Suspensions
